Queen's University · Kingston
The premier undergraduate wine and social club.
Defined by private gatherings, historic venues, and the pursuit of the exceptional. A curated circle of students brought together by a shared appreciation for wine, culture, and conversation.

The bottle, the venue, the guest — chosen with a standard that reflects what the club is, not just what it's serving.
The most interesting people at Queen's, gathered with intent. The connections formed here have a way of compounding over time.
Private venues chosen for their history. Producers who present their own work. An evening that earns its place in the conversation long after it ends.
Understanding wine and spirits is a quiet form of cultural fluency. We build it without making it feel like work — because here, it never is.
Canada's premier undergraduate wine & social society.
The Reserve Circle was founded not to add another club to the campus, but to create a setting that did not yet exist.
What began as a quiet gathering has evolved into a society defined by a single standard: evenings where wine, conversation, and discernment converge.
Membership is about more than connoisseurship. It is an entry into a circle where culture and connection endure far beyond the glass. Our members enjoy exclusive access to curated events, private tastings, and partnerships with the world's most distinguished wineries.

The Circle was born from a desire to see our own values reflected on campus. It started as a small gathering of friends, but it quickly became evident that we were building something rare. We didn't want the standard we had set to vanish when we graduated. We established the Circle to ensure that this specific culture — of wine, of discernment, of connection — would endure as a legacy for the years to come.
Meeting in their first year, Macgregor and Jonn shared a conviction that the Queen's social scene, while vibrant, was missing a vital element of refinement. They envisioned a society that did not yet exist — one defined by discernment rather than excess. We felt a massive gap in the university landscape. We saw the potential to transform the social experience from the ordinary into the magnificent, but we knew it required a specific vision.
For Macgregor, growing up in Niagara-on-the-Lake meant understanding the culture of wine as a way of life — honouring the history and the craft of the industry. For Jonn, it was about the architecture of the evening — the belief that small, perfect details add up to create an atmosphere that transforms the people inside it. We wanted to create something that wasn't just for us, and wasn't just for now. We wanted to build a circle of high-quality people and high standards that would remain as a legacy for those who came next.

Looking back, it wasn't the wine that made it special — it was the nights, the people, and the feeling that we'd started something that would last.

QRC members were among the first to experience Don Adriano's premium tequila range — Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo — through the newly launched ready-to-drink collection.

A refined summer social on a 65th-floor rooftop in Yorkville, and a reminder that the Circle travels well beyond Kingston.

As a finale to the European exchange, members sail the southern coast of France with a curated selection of local wines and champagnes aboard.

On select Wednesdays, live music — from guitar to sax — meets wines from featured wineries, charcuterie, and hors d'oeuvres.

Members flew in by helicopter from the Toronto waterfront and spent the afternoon at Polo for Heart, watching the play from the marquee.
